To launch the first book of Bobbilibris Press, we naturally chose to begin with a journey into the world of ex libris. This project pays tribute to the rich heritage of bookplates, celebrating their artistry while embracing experimentation.

Intricately designed bookplates, also known as ex-libris (“from the books of” in Latin), capture the essence of personal libraries. Each one reflects the unique tastes of its owner, a small portrait of identity within the larger culture of books.

This book catalogs an archive of ex-libris discovered and collected over time, later altered and reimagined through experimentation, transforming historical artifacts into contemporary expressions of bookplate art.
